Private Online Therapy Internationally | The Farley

Person-centred, relational counselling and psychotherapy for adults experiencing burnout, anxiety, stress and emotional disconnection.

You may have been carrying a lot for a long time. Managing work, relationships and responsibilities, while finding it increasingly difficult to switch off, feel present in your own life, or understand why things have become so hard.

Perhaps you are exhausted but keep going. Your mind rarely settles. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, angry, lonely or increasingly numb. Relationships can become painful or difficult to navigate. Things that once brought pleasure or meaning may feel further away. And sometimes there is the particularly difficult experience of knowing that something is wrong, while struggling to put into words exactly what it is.

Emotional pain rarely exists in isolation. What we feel in the present can be connected to our relationships, our experiences, what has been expected of us, what we have learned to expect of ourselves, and the ways we have adapted over time.

Therapy gives us the time and space to understand those connections more deeply. Not by reducing what you are experiencing to a set of symptoms, but by paying attention to the whole of you: what has shaped you, what is hurting now, the patterns that may keep repeating, and the parts of yourself that have become harder to reach.

Online therapy at The Farley

Sessions take place on Google Meet using a private, secure link. You can join from home, a private office, or wherever you have the privacy to speak freely. Working online means that geography does not have to determine who you choose to work with.

We meet at the same time each week for 50 minutes. I work with clients internationally where professional and regulatory requirements allow, with appointments arranged around UK time.

Sessions are weekly and can be short-term or open-ended depending on your needs.

This might be the right fit if you are:

  • Burnt out, but continuing to carry the same responsibilities and demands

  • Anxious or overwhelmed, with a mind that rarely seems to settle

  • Pushing through exhaustion while feeling increasingly flat, numb or disconnected

  • Finding it difficult to slow down, even when you know you cannot keep going at the same pace

  • Struggling in relationships, or noticing that it has become harder to connect, communicate or feel understood

  • Used to being relied upon, while finding there is increasingly little space for you

  • Questioning who you are outside the roles, expectations or responsibilities that have shaped your life

  • Finding that insight, coping strategies or self-help have not reached the emotional pain underneath

I work with a wide range of people, including deep thinkers, creatives, carers, parents, professionals and founders. Many are used to carrying responsibility, thinking deeply about themselves and others, and finding ways to keep going even when something in their life has become difficult or painful.

Therapy offers a different kind of space: somewhere you do not have to perform, adapt, have the answer, or work everything out alone.

My approach

I offer person-centred counselling and psychotherapy, drawing on relational and trauma-aware perspectives.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a space where you do not have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or arrive with the right words. We can pay attention to what is happening now, while also making sense of the experiences, relationships and patterns that have shaped you.

I work with depth and curiosity, taking time with what emerges rather than moving quickly towards solutions. This can mean noticing patterns in how you think, feel and relate, staying with experiences that have been difficult to understand, and making room for parts of yourself that may not often have much space elsewhere.

Over time, therapy can bring greater clarity, a stronger sense of yourself, and more freedom in how you experience your life and relationships.

Research highlights that online therapy can be as effective as in-person sessions when the therapeutic relationship is strong (APA, 2024; Norwood et al., 2018). For adults experiencing burnout, anxiety, or longer-term emotional strain, accessible online support can reduce barriers to care and support meaningful improvement in wellbeing (Sucala et al., 2012).

How does international online therapy work?
We meet on Google Meet using a private link sent directly to you. Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time each week. Appointments are arranged in UK time, taking your local time zone into account.

What if I travel or move to another country?
Please let me know if you will be joining a session from a different country. As requirements for online therapy vary internationally, I may need to confirm that I am able to work with you while you are there

How much does international online therapy cost?

International sessions are £85 for 50 minutes and are paid in advance. I also offer a free 30-minute initial consultation before you decide whether you would like to begin therapy.

Which law applies when we work together?

The Farley is a UK-based practice and our therapeutic agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. This is set out clearly in the client agreement before therapy begins.

Ready to begin?

You are welcome to book a free 30-minute video consultation. This gives us an opportunity to meet, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and consider whether working together feels right for you.

If you are based outside the UK, I will also confirm that I am able to work with you in your country before ongoing therapy begins.
